A: The DCBA has an extensive Lawyer Referral Service to help you locate an attorney who can assist you. Click on the link above or call (845) 473-2488 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Q: What do I do if I have a question about an attorney?

A: Call the DCBA office @ (845) 473-2488.

Q: If I call the DCBA office, will I be able to speak with an attorney?

A: No, the DCBA does not have attorneys on staff to assist callers, and office staff cannot give legal advice. However, if you call the DCBA office, we can usually direct you to someone who can answer your question.

Q: I need an attorney, but I can’t afford one. What should I do?

A: The DCBA does not have a pro bono program. You can contact Legal Services of the Hudson Valley at (845) 471-0058, and they may be able to assist you.

Q: What can I expect to pay for an attorney to resolve my legal issue?

A: The DCBA does not keep fee information on file in our office. As every case is different, it is best that you contact an attorney directly so that they can evaluate your situation.
